ToolShare has launched and we are super excited to get going! We’ve been hard at work, ensuring everything is in place so that everyone can have the simplest experience when listing tools, meaning you can start earning money very quickly!
ToolShare is a platform that allows you to present your tools, so that other people in your community can rent them from you. Many people have tools in their homes or garage that, for the most part, sit gathering dust, only to be used once in a while. The ToolShare platform enables you to list those tools, so that you can rent them out. The benefit is two-fold: first, it allows you to earn some extra income from the tools you have lying around; and second, it allows others to work on their DIY projects at a cheaper cost than buying or renting at a higher cost, from a business. It’s a win-win situation, especially given that you can quickly rent tools from just around the corner and use them within minutes of deciding to start your weekend project!
Here’s how you can get started:
- First, head over to the ToolShare platform at www.toolshare.uk
- Sign up to ToolShare and check your inbox for a verification email.
- Head to the Payments section in settings, choose how you would like to get paid and follow the prompts to fill out your details.
- While you’re poking around the settings, we recommend you ensure all your user information is filled out – people wanna know who they’re renting from!
- Now you’re ready to list your tools! Click the ‘List a tool’ button in the upper-right corner of the platform and fill out the details as best you can. We suggest taking multiple photos and providing a good description to allow potential renters to better understand the tool they might be renting.
- Call your friends and let them know about ToolShare, they too can join in the fun!
- That’s it, time to party!
When someone selects a date or a date range that they want to rent tools from you, you can then approve or discuss with the individual to arrange when the tool(s) can be collected, all through our integrated messaging service!
